How to crack Maya CG for osx.2x


Step 1: Take a pain killer now.

Step1a: Install maya as a custom install installing everything. (unless you dont want sdk)

Step1b: reboot

Step 2: Get your hostid and machine name in osx. (type lmhost and lmhostid in terminal or use the apple system profiler to get your ethernet address. strip out the .'s in the ethernet address only.

(note) your machine name will need this appended to the end of it: ".local."

Step 3: Add the information to the license I have supplied, replacing as shown below:
SERVER hostname lmhostid 123456 (will look like - SERVER g4.local. 123456789874 123456)
DAEMON sgiawd /usr/aw/COM/etc/sgiawd

FEATURE MayaRenderf sgiawd 4.500 permanent 5 000000000000 HOSTID=lmhostid ck=0 (lmhostid = your hostid

step 4: on a pc, run the keygen like this from a shell window:

lmcrypt -i aw.dat -o aw_server.dat

Step 5: Put the aw_server.dat it makes into /var/flexlm on your osx machine

Step 6: Start the flexlm by typing: ' aw_flexlm start '

Step 7: repeat step 6 everytime you reboot the machine.



Step 8: if all fails then you are not supplying the proper computer name or hostid.
